The House That Grant Built
This was a wonderful morning! I painted at a friend's property. It was the most fun I've had by myself since I was a teenager. Lieutenant U. S. Grant built this spring house in 1854 (with help from a Mr. Snipes)! oil on canvas 9 X 12 Unavailable due to having been burnt in a gallery fire (along with about 15 others of my paintings).

good grief that is a good painting!
Thanks, Celeste. Somehow stumbling on something like that; a little spring house built by a future president makes history more "real". Then it's kinda inspirational to paint.
Painters Markham could have provided you with the best quality paints you could have wanted for you to use on your works.
