Here's the latest painting that I'm preparing for my May show at Roz Gallery, a local gallery here in the Columbia Gorge. oil 16 X 20 NFS (until the show)
Thanks, Sheila. I've been working to increase the "weight" of my brush strokes, but I've just started using a softer series of flat which'll eliminate a lot of 3 dimensionality in the paint. Maybe the final answer will be using a combination of brushes for different effects in different areas.
I live by myself in an area that is on the cusp of a wet/dry area in beautiful Oregon near the Columbia Gorge.
My painting subjects vary widely- recent paintings have been of cars, birds, still lifes, and a nude.

I love seeing the enlarge image and studying those fat juicy strokes of paint you use. Beautiful.
I also love saying, "Umpqua".
